Rebonjour!

I've made it back to the homeland!  (More on why it's not my motherland in a later post...)

So you can call off the search party!  I'll TRY to update on my Évian trip this evening.  But don't hold your breath.

So yeah.

Love and amour,
JBoog

Likelihood of Me Posting Often (If At All) Before May 14

LOWER THAN LOW.

I leave for London tomorrow.  Then my folks arrive, then they leave, then a few days later, I'm on a plane back to you, my pretties!

So, uh, see you then!

FORGIVE ME.  I'll actually finish this blog the way that I didn't when I was in London.

Évian-les-Bains
Madrid
Venice
Rome
Morocco (Marrakech, Agadir, Inezgane, Zagora, M'Hamid, THE SAHARA nbd, Marrakech Part Deux, Fez, Casablanca)
London (what else?  Nespresso.)
Geneva
Lyon
Lisbon/Cascais/Sintra

London
Geneva with the 'rents
Burgundy with the 'rents
La Sud with the 'rents
Paris solooooo
My journey home, which, if it's anything like the rest of my time here, promises to be EPIC.

Keep up, y'all!
Yessica

Maybe New Skin?

Why the blog overhaul? Because there aren't any windmills in Belley. I think I was giving you guys the wrong idea. Furthermore, when I was in Amsterdayumn, I realized that the windmill was in Holland. You were looking at a lie. Also, one time someone told me the blog was hard to read.

Also, I've always hated that background. But I am not attached to this, so if you hate it/me, we'll see what happens.

Why jellybeans? If I've done anything for this country, I think I've made people happier with my obnoxiously bright wardrobe. I've definitely seen some pink sweaters on students. My fault? Prolly like 100%.

Taking unnecessary credit-ly,
Jess

Hiatus

Sadly, I have eaten probably a whole bag of papillotes in the past month
I open with a quotation from a Papillote (delightful Christmas chocolates that are wrapped in gold and wise words):
Le monde est un livre dont chaque pas nous ouvre une page
The world is a book in which each step opens a page.
--Alphonse de Lamartine (who, crazily enough, lived in Belley for a spell.)

This seems appropriate as some of us (just me) are starting a two week break in 40 minutes.  So, this is merely a message to let you know what posts you have to look forward to after I return.  In the new year.  2011.  Time flies!

Snow comes to Belley!
So does my Mom!  (And we go to Geneva, Montreux, and Lavey-les-Bains)
I validate my visa!
Fête des Lumières à Lyon!
Vacation: Barcelona, Strasbourg, Brussels, and Paris!

Intrigued?  Grood.  See you round, clowns.
Joyeuses fêtes!
Jess

P.S. Think of me as you are with your families this holiday season.  I'll be sending bisous and dreams of sugar plums your way!
